Weight Loss With the Roca Labs Procedure

The Roca Labs Procedure Changed my Life!

I am posting again my latest blog about my weight loss progress with the Roca Labs gastric bypass. I believe there were a few issues with my blog because it did not post my last entry.

I love food and I love eating. But, I don’t love dieting. I did not used to be a healthy eater, and the pounds started packing as early as my 20´s. When I was younger, I’d managed to maintain my weight of 130 pounds by being active. I belonged to the dance team and played volleyball, so it wasn’t difficult for me to motivate myself to exercise. After college, I started my accounting job, and with that came long hours, pizza lunches, and plenty of happy hours. I continued to exercise almost every day, but it wasn’t enough—and my weight climbed to 225 pounds, which was too much for my 5-foot-7-inch frame.

Roca Labs Procedure Cost and Current Weight

The cost for my roca labs procedure was $480 (with my health insurance discount). I can not say that this procedure was a miracle, but it was much easier and cheaper than the gastric bypass surgery, which can cost thousands of dollars. I did not lose all the desired weight as fast as my mother-in-law did, but I also did not put the weight back after over a year and I am still maintaining my weight. I have lost with roca labs 90 pounds in a little over a year and I couldn’t be happier.

What is Roca Labs?

I’ve been asked countless times what exactly is the Roca Labs Gastric Bypass. So, before I have to describe the procedure again I took the liberty of taking this diagram from their website. You can go and visit on their website and learn more here on this page: What is Roca Labs? They do a much better job on that page in describing the Roca Labs Procedure than I can in many blog comments and posts!

What is Roca Labs?

Avoid Gastric Bypass Surgery Complications

I started the Roca Labs Procedure a little over a year ago when my weight was 225 pounds. I was so desperate to lose the extra weight that I even considered the gastric bypass surgery. For you guys that have been following my posts, I mentioned how much my mother-in-law suffered after having the gastric bypass surgery.

Roca Labs Gastric Bypass

My husband’s mom was really overweight, she couldn’t walk more than a few steps without feeling tired, let alone practice any type of exercise to lose weight. We did not know at the time anything about the non-surgical gastric bypass alternative, so she went under the knife and after a very complicated surgery, she lost 120 pounds. The cost of the gastric bypass procedure was around $8,000 her mind did not change with her body and now she is sick for the rest of her life.

Gastric Bypass Surgery Nightmare

Below you can read the letter that my mother-in-law sent to the Roca Labs company last summer.

” I wish that in 2002 this would have been an option..I had gastric bypass around September 2002. It worked, Ii lost 100+ pounds in 6 months went from 285 to a 165. I followed the diet and worked out daily, but after a year things started to go south for me…scar tissue started building up all over in side of me…I have had 4 surgeries since to remove scar tissue and have had to have some of my bowel removed too 2 years ago…now for the past 2 years it is back and i am in pain constantly..the surgeons now refuse to open me up and remove any more..they say it is too high risk to keep opening me up every year…I have been on lots of meds and sooo much pain meds that in July my liver started shutting down due to pain meds…they say there in nothing more to do but keep me as comfortable as they can…I am scared to death…just saying I wish this was available then because I wouldn’t be doing what i am now…glad to see that others will lose the weight they need or want and not hurt them later….”

It sounds pretty strong, doesn’t it? Well, that is how my mother-in-law is living today.

My Picks from the 80,000+ Roca Labs Reviews on Youtube

Even though I lost the window of opportunity before I started on my Roca Labs Procedure to record a “before” video to go with the “after” video and without that I don’t feel up to record myself on the camera. But I HAVE to share a few great testimonials I found while surfing on youtube last Sunday.

Starting with her, she got to balance her blood sugar level along while shedding the extra pounds. A side-effect you can surely love!!

A nursing mother safely lost 2 pants sizes in 5 weeks! It’s amazing to look at her progress very well documented in her vblogs.

And here’s Mrs. Mc Neal, and why she can’t stay off the scale!

No Weight Gain This Week

Hello guys!

Here I am again to let you know how I am doing. If you read my old blogs you followed my journey since last year when I started taking the Roca Labs Formula.

I was able to reach my goal, but once I stopped taking it I gained back 5 pounds.  My biggest fear was to put all the weight back. So I contacted roca labs and purchased another bag of the anti-craving supplement, which I have been taking for a few weeks.

I am happy to say that for last week I did not gain any weight. Haven’t lost any neither, but it is steady. If I do not lose this remaining 5 pounds I will be fine, But I wish I could do it.

I am being short today because I have a lot of things to do, but I will be back next week.

Another Week on The Roca Labs Anti-Craving

I am back after a whole week full of surprises. I have been taking the anti-cravings from Roca Labs and eating much less than I was before now I think I understand how Roca Labs work and how I can use to its fullest and reach my goals properly.

I am also babysitting my friend’s dog so I have been forced to walk every day for at least 20 minutes, which in the end is a good thing – although I was a little reluctant at first to spend over a month taking care of her dog…

So for the past week I added a little bit of exercise to my routine, and the anti-cravings. I also sprained my right wrist playing volleyball last Wednesday, so if it wasn’t for the dog I would not be moving at all.

I contacted Roca Labs support some time last week to find out what I should do in order to not gain all the way I lost back…I was surprised to have my question answered by a nurse – at least that is what she claimed to be and she seemed very knowledgeable.

Anyways, the Roca Labs nurse told me to keep taking the anti-cravings when I know I am prone to over eat and add exercise to my routine is very important too, specially since I am almost 50 years old. She said that since my stomach is already much smaller, I do not need to take the Roca Labs gastric bypass again as long as I keep eating the same small amounts my body got used to – I am glad she didn’t try to sell the product again.

This morning I weighted myself and I think I am like around 2 pounds lighter than last time, which doesn’t mean much because my weight can fluctuate sometimes by 2 pounds, specially in the morning.

I am curious to see if next week I will be doing better, since I am taking the anti-cravings and walking my friend’s dog every single day.

Roca Labs Weight Gain

Hi guys!

It has been around 2 weeks since my last blog. I called roca labs around a week ago and purchased another bag of the anti-craving powder.

I reached my weight loss goal with roca labs and stopped taking the diet but this month I am up around 5 pounds, so I decided to take the anti-craving because it helped me a lot in the past. I know I have been eating more than normal because I have been really stressed out lately, so hopefully the powder will help me eat less like it did in the past.

I really don’t want start taking roca labs again…even though they offer a great discount for returning customers I am having some financial difficulties that would not justify such expense – plus the anti-cravings alone was $120…but I know it will last for some time so it is ok I guess.

I am just worried because I am afraid to put back all the weight I lost. I will come back next week to keep you guys posted.

Roca Labs Update

Hi Guys!

Omg, I am soo sad. I haven’t lost weight in the last week, actually I put around 3 pounds. I have had a rough week and maybe I ate more than normal, but not much I think.

This is the first time I put on some weight since I started losing and it is scary. I have been so stressed out with moving and a few personal problems and now on top of all that weight gain? I do not deserve it.

Maybe it is just the stress ( I am hoping so). I will stop weighting myself every 2 hours and I will weight myself again next Monday and I will let you guys know how I am doing.

Month 10 on Roca Labs

I know it has been a while since my last update and I have finally returned. I get a lot of emails and Facebook messages asking me about how I am doing with the Roca Labs Formula and if I will continue to update my blog. Once again guys I apologize for being away for so long. My life has been pretty busy in a exciting way.

I am here to tell you that I finally did reach my weight loss goal. I am down to 135 lbs and couldn’t be happier. I stopped taking the Roca Labs Formula but I am still taking the Anti-Craving supplement because it helps me to fight my cravings. I am keeping the weight off by eating smaller portions since my stomach is much smaller I do not have to eat a lot to feel satisfied.

I have also been contacted by Roca Labs to make a commercial, but I am not sure I will be able to make it because I have to fly to Miami and at the moment I am extremely busy. Maybe in the future, we will see.

Anyways, I will try to keep you guys posted about my weight loss maintenance and hopefully I will be able to keep the weight off. I am so excited! I do believe however that I owe you guys, who have supported me along my journey an explanation about how does exactly Roca Labs work and what I learned about it!

How Does Roca Labs Work?

Before starting let me tell you that that Roca Labs works in a simple way. To lose weight, there is no rocket science involved, you just need to consume less calories than you use, if you don’t use the calories you eat, your body stores it in the shape of fat. Yes, you knew that and yes, it’s that simple! Roca Labs, mimicking the dangerous gastric bypass surgery, quite safely might I add, limits the capacity in your stomach to eat more. Unlike the surgery, which includes cutting and sewing or stapling, Roca Labs gastric bypass uses healthy fibers which you eat in the morning and they expand in your stomach, filling it up to 80%, leaving only 20% available space for food intake. Couple that with Anti-Cravings and regular workout and voila! weight loss begins!

Carla Weight Loss Journey with Roca Labs

Month 4.5

Hello guys! I am sorry I wasn’t able to keep my blog updated. New years, kids, gifts, all that fun stuff and boom…time flies :)

Anyways, let’s start talking about my weight loss and my progress so far with Roca Labs, specially now that I cannot exercise due to my knee problems.

Today is January 12th, my starting weight was 225. Now I am down to 175. I did not take the Roca Labs gastric bypass formula for my weight loss during the holidays because I wanted to eat more than usual, which I did.

I am in heaven and I mean it! Around 4 months ago my weight was 225 and now I can proudly wear clothes that I haven’t worn in so many years. I don’t remember if I mentioned on my old post, I think it happened afterm but anyways, I suffered a minor car accident and injured my knee badly. I am unable to exercise , even short walks,

so I have been making sure to take the Roca Labs every day to keep my calorie intake low.

Lets talk about some good news now. I sent my video testimonial to Roca Labs telling my weight loss experience and I got the option to choose between 50% of my purchase money back or a 2 month supply of the formula, so I chose the cash, since I spent more than I should on gifts last Xmas :)

I am not trying to say that you should just take the Roca Labs formula and not exercise . Exercise is good for your health and must be done, like I said, I had a knee injury so I cannot, but if I could I ceratinly would be doing at least 30 min of exercise a day, I am sure that would imrpove my weight loss.

Thank you guys for reading my post again and I will try to update you more often about my weight loss with Roca Labs and how I am doing with my knee problems and the exercise issues.

Month 3

I decided that I will try to keep a weekly blog about my journey with this alternative to lap band surgery.

Here is my progress so far:

First month: Lost almost 20 pounds

Second month: Lost around 15 pounds

Now I am on week 2 of my third month. So far, I lost 5 pounds. My weight loss this month hasn’t been soo good, but I must admit that I haven’t taken the formula every day. I was having some personal problems and I simple forgot to take care of myself…or shower…or exercise…or eat well…We all have our ups and downs and this month hasn’t been too good to me, but which alternative do we moms have when we do not feel good? Stay in bed all day or get up and take care of our family?

Today is Tue – 11/22/2011. As you can see, I decided to get up. Around 6am I made my roca labs mix. I added apple juice to the formula instead of water. I am honestly having some issues with the taste. Also, my stomach must haven shrieked or something because I am no longer able to drink everything. I drink as much as I can and I refrigerate the rest of the weight loss formula. Around 1 hour later I had some cereal with milk and a banana.

I took my angels to school and ran some errands. I got back home it was almost 1pm. Although I was not feeling hungry I cooked some rice with steamed veggies and fried chicken. Around 2 hours later I drank the anti-craving powder from Roca Labs. In my opinion, that is better than the regular formula! My mainly issue is eating too much not because I am hungry, but because I do not feel good psychologically and I feel like to eat all the time. But with this powder thing, whatever I should call that…I do not feel the urge to eat like I used to. That is another reason why I think the lap band surgery would not work for me. I am very happy I found an alternative for that.

Around 4pm my hubby got home with the kids. I drank the rest of the formula and we went out for dinner to a chinese restaurant close to home. I had some noodles and orange chicken.

I do not intend to discourage you to do the lap band surgery if that is in your plans. All I want to do here is share my experience with an alternative option that has being working really well for me. I am not a doctor, I am not a nutritionist, I am just like you trying to look good and feel healthier, and after trying so many other weight loss methods I can finally say I found one that is working for me. Just because the Roca Labs helped me lower my high blood pressure, it does not mean for certain it will help everyone out there. So do your homework. Research is the key to find a good weight loss solution.

Like I said, I will be posting on this blog once a week to let you know if I am still losing weight and keeping off. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to comment. I want this blog to help others losing weight and getting healthier. If you have used Roca Labs and it did not work for you please let me know. Lets share our experiences, good or bad, and together we can help each other to find better and improved and safer alternative to weight loss surgery.

I decided to start writing this blog for a couple of reasons. I was tired of things that didn’t work and I am too young to consider a gastric bypass surgery. But first of all let me introduce myself.

My name is Carla, I am an unemployed Accountant and I have 2 beautiful daughters. One of them has also tried different diet plans and of course she is also too young to consider the gastric bypass surgery.

I live in Sacramento, CA and the food here is soo good that I find it very difficult to maintain my weight loss…

I am 46 years old, 5’7 and now I can proudly say I weigh 190. Not too long ago, too be more exactly around 2 months ago my weight was 225 before I started using the Formula. One more to add to my list of weight loss attempts . My mother-in-law also struggled with weight loss. She had the gastric bypass surgery and she is miserable now, can’t eat almost anything and is always ill. A gastric bypass surgery is a huge and serious decision.

To lose weight fast is not a good idea. Weight loss programs that will make you lose weight fast do not work in the long run. I also would not consider the gastric bypass surgery unless it was a medical necessity. Jons Hopkins did nothing for me, actually most weight loss diets did nothing for me, that is why I am so excited about the Roca Labs gastric bypass formula.

I personally don’t like the taste much, but that is certainly not an obstacle… I do want to look better and feel better so taste won’t stop my weight loss goal. am writing this blog because I want help other people out there that are struggling like I was and also, I am getting 50% of my money back from Roca Labs for sending them a testimonial. Isn’t that amazing?

Before starting using Roca Labs Formula I was eating way too much…therefore, my calorie intake was huge. With the Roca Labs formula I am eating a lot less.
